Great place to spend a few nights and I would recommend the getting the keg for sure. fires lighting when we arrived which was great.

A fantastic idea and a great place to stay. The pub is very spacious and was really clean on arrival. There is loads of sleeping and cooking space in the holiday pub, perfect for a big crowd. The stage with musical instruments is also a great touch. A great experience that I would recommend to everyone.

Had a great weekend in the pub from start to finish. Amanda was very accommodating and easy to deal with throughout. The space itself is unique and perfectly suited for a large group. All the amenities were top notch from the bar to the snug to the dance-floor / stage area. We would recommend the holiday pub to anyone, a real gem.
We had a fantastic weekend in the pub . The bar and all associated equipment was great. Great novelty hanging all the bottles for measuring out spirits etc. The beds were comfortable and clean, perfect for our mixed group. Only a 15 minute drive to Portumna where there is a supervalu. We also had food delivered on the Saturday evening with no issues. Cooking facilities were great to; we cooked up a breakfast for our large group with no issues. Would highly recommend!
The stage in the pub with the lighting, microphones and instruments was exceptional and added so much fun to our weekend!
Myself and a group of 14 stayed in the pub this weekend during the beautiful weather. Everything from the moment we booked the accommodation was fantastic. Amanda and Derek were great to deal with and couldn't of been more helpful. met us on arrival, gave us a tour of the pub and then she left us and didn't bother us again until checkout which is what we wanted. Its the perfect place to go for a big group of friends who want to have the craic, stay up late listening to and playing live music until all hours. You couldn't ask for more from the ice machines, to the fridge coolers, to the amazing sound system with aux input for your phone to play spotify, to the live instruments, to the disco lights, to all the random games left around for you to play. The bedrooms are great. Close enough for you to fall into bed but far enough away so you can sleep if your friends are still up partying. We got great weather and spent lots of time in the big back garden sunbathing and even made the 4 minute drive to Terryglass where we jumped in off a pier which looked out over Lough Derg. Couldn't recommend this place enough. We will be back without a doubt
“Me and 10 friends rented the pub out for new year and it was the best new year ever. The pub is amazing, and had so many interesting rooms. We loved drinking in the bar of course but then we also spent a fair bit of time playing games in the snug. The boys also loved the PlayStation room. We used the kitchen most days to cook for all of us. The local area is gorgeous. We went down to Terryglass to the Derg Inn for lunch which was great. One of the girls is actually now looking to book for her birthday so your be seeing some of them again. Thank you Amanda, we loved it.”
This place is INCREDIBLE! We hired it for Shane's birthday party and it was exactly perfect, it is huge and at the same time extremely cosy, with great fires and lots of comfy sofas. We had a band playing and used the stage and the coloured lights which created a gorgeous atmosphere. The snug is beautiful, with clever decorations and even a record player with records to play. Ideal for a party where you want to make a lot of noise! We also cooked several turkeys in the kitchen and were able to seat 18 people for dinner. Absolutely amazing and we didn't want to leave!
Can't speak highly enough of this place! It was an amazing experience and can’t recommend highly enough, you’ll not be disappointed if you stay here!

Stayed here for two nights at the beginning of December. There were 11 of us in our group and everyone had an amazing time. When we arrived, Tess, the house manager, had both fires lit for us in the main lounge and the sitting room off the bar. The venue was full of charm and was the perfect space for a boogie and loud music. There was also a record player in the sitting room off the bar which worked perfectly! Would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place to stay with large groups! Will definitely be back next year!
Fantastic idea for a place to stay for a week or weekend in a lovely part of Ireland. The house has great facilities, not least the functioning bar, and Amanda and Tess were a pleasure to deal with.
We had an amazing stay at the holiday pub. What an unbelievable experience, we would highly recommend it to anybody. We will definitely going back again, for longer this time. Thanks so much!
Myself and a group of of friends went to the holiday pub for the weekend and had a fantastic time. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Tess was very helpful and accommodating if we needed anything. Will definitely plan a return trip!
This place is really deadly, we had such a good night on the dance floor with disco lights and all really enjoyed it, the place is spotless and really homely - would really recommend it.
My group stayed at the at The Holiday Pub for 2 nights in September for my birthday. We had a fantastic time and a lot of fun. The house manager Tess that met us for check in and check out was lovely and helped us with any questions we had. We were able to look after ourselves with no interruptions which was appreciated but Tess was also quick to respond when we needed to ask a question during our stay. The utilities are very reasonably priced and cost per person was a very good price too. Highly recommended for a fun private trip.
