Terryglass  (3km) has 2 pubs, both serve great food and are next door to each other - the Derg Inn http://www.thederginn.ie/ and Paddy's Bar - http://paddysbar.ie/ are both popular, during busy times it's recommended to book in advance.

Borrisokane is 10km from the Pub and has a number of bars, takeaway, (many of which will deliver to the Tavern), a Chinese Restaurant and  Pub Grub.

Portumna is 12km away and similar in size to Borrisokane, with plenty of bars and dining options including a great french and Indian Restaurant.

Nenagh is the nearest large town, with large supermarkets, shopping, cinema and dining options - 30 min drive

Bike park Ireland - Experience the thrill of gravity-fed (downhill) mountain biking at Bike Park Ireland. It’s very similar to skiing, which is how it all started in the 1980’s. With skiing you use a ski-lift to the top, here they use Army Trucks!  The Army Trucks, each with 30 bus seats and a bike trailer, will transport you and your bike to the top of the trails and operates every 15-20mins. From the top you choose which trail you want to cycle down and when you return to the pick-up-point at base, the Army Truck will take you back up to the top again, giving you lots of bike time. visit http://www.bikeparkireland.ie/
